Applications are now open for the MLH Fellowship: GitHub Externship Track! Building on our work with the Major League Hacking team, the new fellowship track will offer students the opportunity to support and maintain the codebases that run GitHub itself with the real-world projects, training, and community mentorship.
Students in the MLH community use GitHub every day in their coursework, hackathon projects, and by utilizing and contributing to open source. Now, through the fellowship, students will have the opportunity to contribute to GitHub itself and get paid while they learn. By working on both open source and innersource parts of GitHub, students will have a chance to improve the experience of tens of millions of developers around the world.

Applications are now open and will be accepted until September 13 at 11:59pm ET. We encourage everyone to apply, but are especially seeking applicants with experience writing Ruby/Rails, C++, C#, Go, JavaScript, and/or with functional programming languages like Haskell or OCaml.
