GitHub Enterprise license history tracking now available in public preview

GitHub Enterprise admins can now view a history of license usage over time. This feature provides a daily snapshot of license additions and removals for GitHub Enterprise Cloud, helping admins and billing managers understand how licenses are being consumed.

What’s included

• Daily snapshot of licenses to monitor usage over time
• Actor(s) that added or removed the license
• Date on which the license addition or removal was performed
• Effective date for when the license additions and removals will affect the monthly bill

Availability

To find the license history, navigate to Enterprise > Billing and licensing > Licensing > GitHub Enterprise Cloud > Manage. This feature is currently available only for metered GitHub Enterprise accounts without Visual Studio bundles.
