Introducing a 5000 repository limit for GitHub Enterprise Importer organization migrations

As an organization migrating to GitHub Enterprise Cloud, you can now migrate up to 5,000 repositories as part of an organization migration using GitHub Enterprise Importer (GEI). If you attempt to migrate an organization with more than 5,000 repositories, you’ll see an error message advising you to migrate repositories using the repository migration workflow instead.

This change improves the reliability and performance of GEI by preventing organization migrations from creating very large migration queues that can adversely impact service performance. To learn more, you can check out our organization migrations with GitHub Enterprise Importer documentation.
